Why I am doing this piece?
Is that I absolutely love Mario brothers. Seeing this bishop and thinking about the Mario theme the mushroom head guys just came to me.
What do I think that will be difficult?
I think that the most difficult thing with this piece will be the head, the arms and the legs/feet.
Why I decided to do the mushroom headman is because I am a long time Mario Bros. fan. As soon as I saw that I got the bishop as my chess piece the only thing that jumped into my mind was the Mario Bros. theme. I thought that the mushroom head would be the perfect fit for this piece and that I would really take this piece to the next level.
Some problems that I had during this project was that my chess piece kept on breaking during the project. I had my first one done, and I went to go pick it up and the whole thing just broke and crumpled into pieces. The second time that I had it brake on me is when Shelby picked it up and pulled the head right off of it. The third time I got it all right and got it glazed before it could brake again.
I ended up pretty happy with this chess piece. I thought that I was going to have a rough time with this piece having it breaking two times before. I was very frustrated with this piece at first but at the end I pushed through this and got a masterpiece. I’m glad I didn’t give up on this piece and pushed through adversity to finish it.
